Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh has expressed concern that while some claim their religion is under threat, it is, in fact, their political party that is in danger. Speaking at a campaign rally for his brother, Congress leader Dhiraj Deshmukh, the actor urged voters to focus on development rather than divisive politics.
During Sunday's rally in Latur, Maharashtra, Riteish Deshmukh emphasized the teachings of Lord Krishna, positing that genuine work constitutes true religion. He criticized those who use religion as a shield to protect their political agendas, encouraging them to first address issues of public development.
Highlighting pressing issues, Deshmukh called out the state government's failure to provide jobs for educated youth and fair prices for farmers. He pointed to his brother's previous electoral success and urged the youth to recognize the power of their vote in ensuring a dignified, prosperous Maharashtra.
