West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made a significant visit to Sandeshkhali, an area recently plagued by allegations of land grabbing and sexual harassment involving local TMC leaders. Speaking publicly, Banerjee accused the BJP of using substantial financial resources to disseminate false information in the region to undermine her party.

At the event, Banerjee urged citizens not to fall for the misinformation or inducements, and emphasized the importance of directly accessing government welfare schemes without intermediaries, asserting that the benefits belonged to the people and should reach them through direct bank transfers.

Despite previous controversies surrounding TMC leaders, recent elections in Basirhat, which encompasses Sandeshkhali, resulted in a decisive victory for Banerjee's party. In light of this, she continued to call for peace and development, committing state resources toward local projects and announcing plans for a new district to enhance administrative efficiency.
