In a scathing attack, Shiv Sena UBT leader Anand Dubey has accused the Samajwadi Party's Maharashtra unit of being the BJP's 'B' team, following its decision to contest the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. Dubey highlighted plans for his party's senior leaders to meet SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav to express their concerns over SP's policies in the state.
Dubey further asserted that the Samajwadi Party lacks identity outside the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance. He cited figures like Abu Azmi and Rais Sheikh as key players behind SP's perceived betrayal, emphasizing the necessity to convey these sentiments to Yadav during their scheduled meeting in Delhi.
Meanwhile, SP Maharashtra leader and MLA Abu Azmi has declared intentions to contest the BMC polls independently, planning to field candidates in at least 150 seats, amidst claims of diminishing MVA cohesion. Addressing recent violence in Parbani and Beed, Dubey called for judicial attention to ensure justice for Santosh Deshmukh, criticizing the state government's handling of the situation and the influence of political figures in the matter.
