Amid rising political tensions, BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Wednesday asserted that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal's meeting with Punjab leaders signals internal discord. Speaking to ANI, Chugh criticized the Punjab government, declaring it has 'failed on all fronts' following AAP's defeat in the Delhi elections.
Chugh accused Kejriwal of treating Punjab's leaders as 'slaves' and insisted this demeans the sentiment of the state. Meanwhile, BJP national spokesperson RP Singh reiterated these concerns, observing that despite a call for 94 MLAs to gather in Delhi, four did not attend, indicating dissatisfaction within the ranks.
Congress MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa fueled speculation by suggesting that such meetings hint at an imminent party split. Furthermore, Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa claimed potential defections from AAP to Congress, while Punjab's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann dismissed these allegations, reaffirming the competency of his leadership.
