Thrikkakara MLA Uma Thomas Recovers After Fall From VIP Gallery

MLA Uma Thomas, injured in a fall from a VIP gallery, has been discharged from hospital after 46 days. While she continues her physiotherapy at home, she thanked the medical team and supporters. Chief Minister and other leaders visited. Thomas will stay at a temporary residence until her house renovations are completed.

Congress MLA Uma Thomas, who suffered injuries from a 15-foot fall at a stadium's VIP gallery on December 29, was discharged from the hospital on Thursday.

After 46 days under medical care, the Thrikkakara legislator's condition is stable, though she will continue physiotherapy at home, hospital sources confirmed.

In a message of gratitude, Thomas thanked the medical staff, colleagues, family, and supporters for their care and support during her recovery. Notably, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other leaders visited during her hospital stay. As renovations on her home continue, she will temporarily reside in a rented house.
