In a sharp exchange of words, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat criticized former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, stating that he has no standing to comment on the phone tapping allegations brought by state minister Kirodi Lal Meena. Accusations of phone tapping had already marred Gehlot's tenure, and a court confession by his Officer on Special Duty further complicates the situation.

Shekhawat emphasized that Kirodi Lal Meena had clarified his stance on the issue, leaving little room for Gehlot to weigh in on the matter without further evidence or cause. Gehlot, meanwhile, countered by accusing the BJP government of breaching protocols by tapping calls without necessary permissions.

The union minister also addressed the debate surrounding the recently introduced Waqf Board Bill. He argued that the bill was essential for protecting properties from being misappropriated as personal assets, stressing that it is the government's duty to safeguard the rights of citizens, irrespective of religious affiliations.
