Zelenskiy's Stand: Ukraine's Involvement in Peace Talks Essential
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy firmly stated that Ukraine will not accept peace deals made without its involvement. Addressing the Munich Security Conference, he emphasized the need for Europe to develop its own defense forces. His remarks come following Trump's recent engagement with Putin, fostering concerns about U.S. concessions.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has made a resolute declaration that Ukraine will not agree to any peace arrangements formulated without its participation. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Zelenskiy urged Europe to form its own military forces, emphasizing the continent's need for self-determination in security matters.
The statement came in response to recent discussions between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the first such contact since Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Concerns have emerged over perceived U.S. concessions to Russia that could undermine Ukraine's position.
Zelenskiy also cautioned Europe about the potential risks of a mismanaged conclusion to the Ukraine-Russia war, which could leave battle-hardened Russian soldiers free for further aggressive actions. He stressed that building a unified European defense capability is crucial for maintaining stability and security on the continent.
