The Northern Army commander, Lt Gen Suchindra Kumar, expressed his condolences and hailed the bravery of the deceased soldiers. "Lt Gen Kumar and all ranks of Dhruva Command salute the supreme sacrifice of bravehearts Sub Santosh Kumar and Nb Sub Sunil Kumar," he announced, underlining the loss to the military community.
Prompt investigations have been launched by the police into the accident, which took place 150 km from Leh. The Fire and Fury Corps, along with other army officials, have shared tributes and condolences to the families in this hour of grief.
