Poland's President Andrzej Duda is poised to meet with Donald Trump in Washington this Saturday, as reported by the Polish state news agency PAP. This meeting follows Duda's encouragement to Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy for calm cooperation with the U.S. leader, amidst a brewing discord between Trump and Zelenskiy that has unsettled European allies.

Duda expressed on the X social media platform his confidence in Trump's dedication to global peace, stating, "I suggested to President Zelenskiy to remain committed to the course of calm and constructive cooperation with Donald Trump. I have no doubt that President Trump is guided by a deep sense of responsibility for global stability and peace."

Duda, who was a known ally of Trump during his previous presidency, emphasized the need for unity in ensuring lasting peace, particularly in light of Trump's recent accusations against Zelenskiy. Meanwhile, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski is also engaging in diplomatic discussions in Washington, adding layers to the strategic dialogues in the capital.
