Despite the collision causing significant front-end damage to Ghosh's car, both the deputy mayor and the driver emerged unscathed. Officials report the Trinamool Congress leader was making a turn near Taltala when the accident unfolded.

In a statement to PTI, Ghosh expressed relief at the narrow escape from injury, acknowledging the close call and giving thanks for the absence of injuries. The accident scene was cleared without further incident.
