BJP leader Tamilisai Soundarajan has launched a scathing attack on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin following allegations involving Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) workers erasing Hindi letters from railway station name boards in Pollachi.
This incident has sparked further tension in the ongoing language policy feud between the state and central government, particularly regarding the three-language National Education Policy (NEP). Soundarajan condemned the act, accusing DMK of attempting to capitalize on language politics.
AIADMK MP M Thambidurai also criticized DMK for politicizing language issues for electoral gain. DMK, meanwhile, remains opposed to what it perceives as threats to Tamil identity and cultural integrity from Hindi dominance.
