Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a critical attack on the DMK government in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, accusing its leaders of corruption and misgovernance. During the inauguration of BJP district offices in Coimbatore, Tiruvannamalai, and Ramanathapuram, Shah remarked, "In cases of corruption, all the leaders of DMK hold a master's degree. One leader faces a cash-for-jobs scandal, another is entangled in money laundering and illegal sand mining, and a third is under scrutiny for disproportionate assets."

Countering Chief Minister MK Stalin's allegations of denied central funds to Tamil Nadu, Shah dismissed these claims, stating, "There is no truth in MK Stalin's statement. The Modi government has provided Rs5 lakh crore to Tamil Nadu in the past five years." He further added, "The Chief Minister often argues that the state has suffered injustice by the Centre; however, a comparison of fund allocation under the UPA and NDA governments reveals the real injustice occurred during the UPA regime."

Shah mocked the DMK, suggesting that those involved in corruption should consider joining MK Stalin's party membership drive. "It seems as if DMK welcomes all individuals with corrupt motivations, joining DMK through membership. MK Stalin and his son are raising several issues to shift focus from the real concerns. Today, they convene a meeting concerning delimitation. PM Modi has assured that no southern state will lose seats post-delimitation."

He also pledged that the BJP will lead an NDA government in Tamil Nadu by 2026, promising to eliminate nepotism and corruption. "Expect the formation of a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in Tamil Nadu. In 2026, an NDA administration will be established, heralding a new era for the state. We will eradicate nepotism and corruption in Tamil Nadu. We are determined to remove individuals involved in anti-India activities," Shah declared.
