Uddhav Thackeray, chief of Shiv Sena (UBT), launched a scathing critique against the BJP, accusing it of undermining societal harmony. Speaking to Sena supporters, Thackeray urged them to use 'Jai Shivaji' and 'Jai Bhavani' as counter slogans to the BJP's chosen 'Jai Shri Ram'.
He also questioned the BJP's consistency regarding India's sports relations, noting a shift in its stance towards Pakistan. While highlighting his past governance strategies, he emphasized the need for new budget allocations, such as loan waivers for farmers.
The Sena chief brought attention to the ongoing tussle over the Mumbai Metro 3 carshed, alleging political motivations in its siting with BJP favoring different locations post his tenure. He depicted this as part of a larger clash following the collapse of the MVA government in 2022.
