Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has raised allegations against the BRS and BJP, accusing them of disputing the data from the state's caste survey to prevent backward classes from gaining a larger share of power.

During a meeting with the All India Padmashali Mahasabha, Reddy stated that a resolution by the Congress government to increase BC reservations to 42% in the Assembly would exert pressure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Reddy pointed out that before the 2023 Assembly elections, Congress promised to expand BC reservations in local bodies from 23% to 42%, challenging BRS and BJP to substantiate claims of inaccuracies in the survey data.
