At least seven Congress party leaders were injured on Monday when the stage they were using to address protesters collapsed in Bhopal, an MLA reported. The incident unfolded as the leaders spoke near Rangmahal Square before initiating a march to the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, according to Congress MLA Jaivardhan Singh.

The demonstration was organized against the state government's stated 'anti-farmer' policies. Despite the collapse, Congress supporters continued their planned march towards the Assembly but were halted by police deployment, including the use of water cannons for crowd control.

"We have barricaded the area and are performing our duties," assured Rashmi Agarwal Dubey, Bhopal Zone 1's Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police. However, when asked about the count of injured individuals, the ADCP mentioned needing to verify and ended the conversation. Attempts to reach TT Nagar ACP Chandra Shekhar Pandey and Station House Officer Sudheer Arjariya for further details were unsuccessful.
