Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a critical review meeting on Monday aimed at ensuring the successful and secure execution of the Char Dham Yatra. Addressing the media, CM Dhami underscored the pivotal role of Char Dham Yatra in bolstering the state's economy, providing vital support to businesses like hotels, taxis, and homestays.
"Char Dham Yatra is an essential driver of Uttarakhand's economic activity," Dhami stated. He elaborated on how the Yatra sustains the livelihoods of countless individuals involved in the hospitality and tourism sectors. Based on past experiences, CM Dhami engaged in discussions with key stakeholders, seeking their input to enhance the Yatra experience.
In a parallel initiative, the State has launched the Winter Yatra to ensure continuous economic activity even when the Char Dham portals close. At a public rally, CM Dhami thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for supporting this effort, marking a landmark in making Uttarakhand a year-round tourist destination.
