Union Minister Chirag Paswan on Tuesday criticized Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav for remarks indicating the BJP's alleged religious bias. Paswan emphasized the longstanding tradition of Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb, highlighting the importance of communal harmony during festivals like Holi.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Minister Raghuraj Singh expressed views on regulating Namaz practices in proximity to Hindu celebrations. Singh maintained that while Muslims should freely offer Namaz, certain restrictions during Hindu festivals could be necessary to avoid clashes.
In response to BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur's controversial suggestion for Muslims to remain indoors during Holi, coinciding with a Friday in Ramzan, Tejashwi Yadav demanded action against such divisive statements. He critiqued Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for not addressing the issue promptly, describing the inaction as being in an "unconscious state."
