Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta welcomed a large gathering at her residence during the 'Jan Milan Samaroh' event on Wednesday. Citizens and supporters met with the CM, presenting her with bouquets, as the event emphasized interaction and community engagement.
The program saw active participation and vibrant discussions with the Chief Minister. Additionally, several party workers were present, showing their support. The previous day, CM Gupta celebrated Holi at the 'Holi Milan Samaroh' at Shalimar Bagh, where she announced significant developments in river transport for the city.
Addressing attendees, CM Gupta revealed that an MoU has been signed, paving the way for a 'small ferry' cruise on the River Yamuna within the next few months. This venture aims to enhance connectivity and boost tourism. Gupta also highlighted persistent efforts to clean the Yamuna, ensuring the project remains a top priority.
The Inland Waterways Authority of India, together with Delhi government agencies, reached an agreement to develop tourism on a four-kilometre stretch of the Yamuna. The initiative underscores the government's commitment to revitalizing the river.
