Pakistan's authorities convened an emergency session of the National Security Council (NSC) after Indian armed forces launched missiles on nine targets, citing a response to a terror attack. The meeting, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, included top military and governmental officials.
In a statement, the NSC denounced India's military actions, labeling them as unprovoked and citing severe violations of international law. The offensive resulted in civilian casualties and damaged infrastructure, escalating pre-existing tensions in the region.
As a further step, Prime Minister Sharif announced a follow-up cabinet meeting to strategize a national response. The Pakistan government urged global leaders to take note of the aggressive act and seek accountability from India.
