Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif stated that Islamabad is working to avoid a full-scale war after India conducted military strikes on terror targets. The strikes, called Operation Sindoor, were in response to an earlier attack. Asif emphasized Pakistan's readiness for war if tensions are not de-escalated by India.

In a bid to stave off an imminent conflict, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif expressed that Islamabad is striving to prevent a full-scale war with India, following recent military actions by India targeting terror sites.

The attack by India, referred to as Operation Sindoor, targeted nine terror locations in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Punjab as a counterstrike to the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in 26 deaths.

Asif underscored the serious implications of the strikes, labeling them a clear violation and an invitation to a broader, more perilous regional conflict, declaring Pakistan's preparedness for war if necessary.
