In Ludhiana West, the much-anticipated Assembly bypoll kicked off Thursday morning, marked by stringent security measures. Voting commenced at 7 am and will proceed until 6 pm, according to officials.
This bypoll was necessitated by the death of Gurpreet Bassi Gogi, former AAP MLA. The vacant seat has sparked a fierce contest between major political parties—AAP, Congress, BJP, and Shiromani Akali Dal.
