The United States has dispatched seven flights since June, providing an escape route for approximately 250 American citizens from the increasingly volatile region in Israel. These government-organized flights primarily landed in neighboring Greece, Rome, and Cyprus.
Additional escape routes were utilized by other American nationals, including nonessential embassy staff and their families, choosing to travel overland to Jordan and Egypt or departing by sea.
Amidst these strategic evacuations, Iran issued a warning targeting military sites utilizing maps similar to those of the Israeli military. Both Iran and Israel's UN missions have withheld comments regarding rising tensions and potential ceasefire talks.
