On the eve of his birthday, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav took part in a blood donation camp organized by PDA members at King George's Medical University in Lucknow. The event underscored a call for unity among oppressed social segments.
Yadav did not hold back as he lambasted the BJP-led government on economic management, accusing them of fostering an "undeclared emergency" in trade and industry by selling institutions at low prices to cronies. Highlighting these allegations, he pointed out that a reputed institution might soon be sold.
Yadav further added that under a future Samajwadi government, KGMU would receive resources to become a world-leading institution, ensuring public access to medical care. He also criticized ongoing river pollution and announced plans to honor Veerangana Uda Devi at the Gomti riverfront.
