Engaging Democracy: EC Connects with State Parties

The Election Commission recently interacted with representatives from the Samajwadi Party and YSR Congress. This engagement is part of the EC’s initiative to maintain constructive dialogues with both national and state parties, allowing party leaders to express their concerns and suggestions directly to the Commission.

The Election Commission on Thursday engaged in discussions with representatives from the Samajwadi Party (SP) and YSR Congress as part of its strategic outreach to political entities.

This initiative by the EC aims to foster a platform where national and state parties can engage in meaningful dialogue. So far, five out of six national parties have participated, with the latest interactions involving the SP and YSR Congress.

The Commission highlights that such engagements fulfill a long-standing need for constructive communication between the poll body and party leaders, facilitating direct expression of ideas, concerns, and recommendations.
