In a heated exchange within the BJP ranks, expelled MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal has lashed out at state party chief B Y Vijayendra over claims surrounding the Karnataka High Court's directive for a CBI probe into the Valmiki Corporation scam.
Yatnal alleges Vijayendra seeks credit for the court order despite having no involvement with the writ petition, which was filed by Yatnal and others. Yatnal also noted Vijayendra's past attempts to quash protests against the scam.
Responding to the court's order, which mandates the transfer of investigation records to the CBI, Yatnal applauded the ruling, emphasizing the need for accountability. He highlighted the misuse of Rs 89.63 crore, stressing the urgency for justice and transparency in ongoing probes.
