On Monday, the Monsoon Session of the Rajya Sabha commenced with five members, including three nominated ones, taking their oath of allegiance to the Constitution.
The session opened with tributes to those who lost their lives in the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir and the Air India crash in Ahmedabad.
Additionally, the House extended birthday wishes to Congress President and Leader of Opposition Malikarjun Kharge, Laxmikant Bajpai, Rajeev Shukla, and Sangeeta Yadav, while also remembering seven former members in obituary references.
