In a significant victory against terrorism, the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack have been eliminated, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah announced on Tuesday. He noted that their defeat serves as a firm lesson against the viability of terrorism.
Speaking to reporters, Abdullah emphasized the importance of the operation, which involved a collaboration between the Army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police. The operation successfully neutralized three high-profile terrorists responsible for past atrocities in Pahalgam, as mentioned by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Lok Sabha.
The operation led to the elimination of notorious Lashkar-e-Taiba commanders Suleman alias Faizal, Afghani, and Jibran. Their demise marks a significant blow to the terror network and a moment of relief for the families of the numerous victims they left in their wake.
