The Haryana BJP, seeking to strengthen its presence, has appointed MLAs and ministers as incharges for 42 constituencies where it experienced defeat in the 2024 state elections, sources within the party disclosed on Tuesday.

The stride to regain lost ground was discussed during a BJP Legislature Party meeting, focusing on a return to power in the 90-seat assembly where the party secured 48 seats. The Congress managed 37 seats, with the remainder divided between the INLD and Independents.

Notably, key figures like Vipul Goel, Gaurav Gautam, and others will spearhead efforts in opposition-represented areas like Ambala City and Rohtak, aiming to amass support through grassroots initiatives and redressal of public issues, while senior minister Anil Vij's absence from this list marks a significant omission.
