Rohan Jaitley, son of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, has categorically denied Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's assertion that his late father threatened him regarding the farm laws. Rohan highlighted that the controversial laws were introduced in 2020, over a year after Arun Jaitley's passing in August 2019.
Condemning Gandhi's accusation, Rohan Jaitley emphasized respecting the deceased and described his father as a firm believer in democratic principles and consensus-building. Speaking to ANI, he stated that threats were contrary to his father's nature and urged for responsible discourse, especially when discussing those no longer alive.
Adding to the rebuttal, BJP leader Amit Malviya and MP Anurag Thakur dismissed Gandhi's claims as factually incorrect. They reiterated Arun Jaitley's demise preceded the enactment of the farm laws by several months, and urged Rahul Gandhi to apologize for misrepresenting the timeline and misleading the public.
