The Madras High Court has allowed PMK leader Anbumani to proceed with the general council meeting scheduled for August 9 at Mamallapuram. This comes despite internal conflicts with party founder S Ramadoss over leadership control.
Justice N Anand Venkatesh rejected a petition by PMK office-bearer Murali Sankar seeking to block the meeting, suggesting instead that he could take the matter to a civil court.
Tensions between Anbumani and his father Ramadoss remain high as both have independently organized meetings, with the senior leader's gathering planned for August 17.
