Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Nepal's Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli during a diplomatic visit to the Himalayan country, illustrating ongoing high-level engagement between the two nations. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister's Office in Singhdurbar, Kathmandu.

Accompanied by Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava, Misri's visit aimed to bolster India-Nepal relations. He was in the country at the invitation of his Nepalese counterpart, Amrit Bahadur Rai, and was scheduled to have discussions with President Ramchandra Paudel, Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba, and other political leaders.

The visit emphasized the #NeighbourhoodFirst policy, focusing on connectivity and development cooperation. It lays the groundwork for Prime Minister Oli's anticipated mid-September visit to India, which aims to further strengthen bilateral ties.
