Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with his deputies Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde, extended their congratulations to Governor CP Radhakrishnan following his nomination as the vice-presidential candidate for the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Fadnavis made a personal visit to Raj Bhavan in Mumbai, even as BJP president J P Nadda announced Radhakrishnan's candidacy. On social media platform X, Fadnavis expressed immense pride in Radhakrishnan's selection, citing his comprehensive experience in legislative and constitutional matters gained during his tenure as a Member of Parliament and governor.
Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde echoed these sentiments, with Shinde highlighting Radhakrishnan's respected stature and political acumen. Both leaders viewed his nomination as a victory, showcasing the NDA's confidence under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
