Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram extended his thanks to the public for empowering the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' with their participation, aiming to fortify voting rights. He acknowledged the journey's success as a public-driven effort, striving to incorporate citizens' names in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) voter list.

The Yatra, marking its fifth day, reached Sheikhpura and witnessed the involvement of Congress leaders and alliance cohorts from RJD, CPI (ML), and VIP. Rajesh Ram expressed confidence in internal alliance matters, including seat-sharing negotiations, asserting they are progressing smoothly.

Meanwhile, Krishna Allavaru of AICC criticized the SIR process as a national issue, questioning the government's legitimacy gained through alleged electoral manipulation. He argued that a government founded on compromised votes is unlikely to address issues like employment and inflation.

Dipankar Bhattacharya of CPI (ML) highlighted the escalating public support for the Yatra, foreseeing it will strengthen until its conclusion on September 1. He stated that the INDIA bloc aims to surpass previous electoral outcomes, challenging the ruling BJP.

Reaffirming alliance unity, VIP founder Mukesh Sahni declared a robust electoral strategy across 243 seats, stressing their commitment to people's rights. Tejashwi Yadav of RJD noted the Yatra's historic impact with widespread public backing, exposing gaps in BJP and Election Commission roles.

The 16-day 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' seeks to challenge alleged voting discrepancies in Bihar, covering over 1,300 km across 20 districts, set to conclude in Patna on September 1.
