The Odisha Assembly is set for its monsoon session starting Thursday, September 19. An all-party meeting, led by Speaker Surama Padhy, emphasized the need for cooperation across party lines to ensure smooth proceedings.
During the meeting, Padhy urged both ruling and opposition members to facilitate seamless transactions of House business. The session, ending on September 25 with a break on September 21, will begin by paying tributes to BJD MLA Rajendra Dholakia.
Key discussions will include adjournment motions and bills. The BJD plans to highlight issues regarding women, students, SC/ST, and farmers. Meanwhile, the Congress party reiterated its commitment to cooperate within constitutional bounds.
