The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) dispatched vital relief supplies to Uttarakhand on Monday, addressing the severe flooding that has wreaked havoc in the region due to heavy rains.

With substantial instances of floods and landslides, many lives have been lost, and countless individuals remain missing amid the ongoing natural calamities over the past two months. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently conducted an aerial survey of the disaster-stricken districts, announcing financial aid of Rs 1,200 crore for the state.

Items including food, blankets, medicines, and other essentials were sent as part of the #SOSIYC initiative, kickstarted by IYC National President Uday Bhanu Chib from the Delhi headquarters. Inspired by Rahul Gandhi, Chib highlighted the importance of compassion in crises while criticizing the BJP for alleged event management instead of aiding affected individuals. The Congress youth body urged the Central Government to take swift action in all flood-affected regions.
