Mufti Slams Centre's Actions in Jammu and Kashmir

PDP president Mehbooba Mufti criticized the Indian government for treating Jammu and Kashmir residents as criminals. Mehbooba Mufti, the Peoples Democratic Party president, has strongly criticized the Indian central government, claiming that its actions are treating the residents of Jammu and Kashmir as though they were criminals.

In a recent press interaction held in Anantnag district, Mufti condemned the dismissal of people from their jobs and the branding of their houses and properties as anti-national. She cited the attachment of the office of the banned Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Kashmir as particularly inhumane, especially as it affects the widow of the late Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

The former chief minister insisted on the importance of dialogue and critiqued the continuous raids and labeling of properties, urging a compassionate and diplomatic approach to resolving tensions in the region.
