Upendra Kushwaha, the chief of Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and a Rajya Sabha MP, has voiced his discontent with the NDA's seat-sharing arrangement in Bihar ahead of the assembly elections. Speaking to reporters en route to Delhi, Kushwaha highlighted his party's dissatisfaction with the allocation of just six seats.
Despite efforts by senior BJP leaders, including Union Minister Nityanand Rai, discussions in Patna failed to placate Kushwaha. The discontent was compounded by the allocation of the Mahua seat to Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), led by Chirag Paswan, further straining alliances within the ruling coalition.
The agreed formula dictates that BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats each, with LJP (Ram Vilas) receiving 29 seats, while RLM and Hindustani Awami Morcha, led by Jitan Ram Manjhi, were given six seats each. With smaller allies voicing their displeasure, the NDA's unity is under scrutiny as the election date nears.
