The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has taken decisive action in the ongoing Sabarimala gold theft investigation by suspending Assistant Engineer K Sunil Kumar. The board meeting, chaired by TDB president PS Prasanth, concluded with Kumar's suspension due to his alleged involvement in the case.
Prasanth announced that retired officers entangled in the gold-plating controversy will face show-cause notices and have ten days to respond. The board, alongside the Kerala government, is committed to recovering lost property and holding culprits accountable. Prasanth underscored the regrettable protests against the board during this sensitive period.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan called for public restraint, emphasizing the investigation's high court supervision. He urged patience as the Special Investigation Team continues its work. The Chief Minister assured that the probe into the missing gold from the Sabarimala temple idols will proceed thoroughly before any final judgments are made.
