Tejashwi Yadav Solidifies Position as Mahagathbandhan's CM Choice in Bihar Elections

In a decisive backing ahead of Bihar's upcoming assembly elections, the CPI(ML) Liberation has thrown its unwavering support behind Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav as the chief ministerial candidate for the Mahagathbandhan alliance. General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya dispelled any rumors of internal tensions, asserting that an official announcement is forthcoming.

Bhattacharya criticized the NDA's stance on Chief Ministership, stating, "The NDA might claim Nitish Kumar will continue as CM, but this time, he will not hold the position." An official declaration is expected soon regarding the seat-sharing arrangement among the Mahagathbandhan parties following the finalization of allocations.

The 2025 Bihar Elections are set to be a battle between the National Democratic Alliance and the Mahagathbandhan. Currently, in the 243-member Bihar Assembly, the NDA holds a majority with 131 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan controls 111. As the political landscape evolves, Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj has announced intentions to contest all seats. Elections are scheduled for early November, with results on November 14.
