Tejashwi Yadav's Bold Promise: Empowering Bihar's Jeevika Didis

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav announced that if the INDIA bloc comes to power, all contractual workers in Bihar government departments and about 2 lakh community mobilisers will become permanent employees. He pledged a monthly salary of Rs 30,000, interest-free loans, and health insurance for Jeevika Didis.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has made significant promises ahead of the Bihar assembly elections. On Wednesday, he announced that if the INDIA bloc assumes power, all contractual workers in Bihar government departments, along with approximately 2 lakh community mobilisers among Jeevika Didis, will be made permanent.

Yadav assured a monthly salary of Rs 30,000 for these community mobilisers, who play a crucial role as facilitators for self-help groups. Further pledges include waiving interest on existing loans taken by Jeevika Didis, along with offering interest-free credit for the next two years.

According to the RJD leader, the promises extend to providing Rs 5 lakh in health insurance and a Rs 2000 monthly allowance for engagement in other government activities. The opposition's aim is to counter the current NDA government, which Yadav claims has failed to address the welfare of the rural poor.
