The INDIA bloc has taken a decisive step by naming Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD as its chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Bihar elections, signaling a bid for unity. Congress leaders, including Ashok Gehlot, affirmed their backing, underscoring Yadav's commitment to integrity and opposition to corruption.

The announcement intends to dispel media speculation and align coalition forces under Yadav's leadership. Notably, Congress demanded a deputy CM post for a Muslim or Dalit leader should the coalition win. In response, Yadav addressed the jungle raj label, accusing the BJP of propagating misinformation about crime in Bihar.

As tensions within the INDIA bloc surface, the NDA, led by CM Nitish Kumar under BJP support, continues its electoral preparations. The BJP pointed to the absence of Rahul Gandhi's image in the press materials as a sign of discord, while NDA leaders intensified their campaign efforts across Bihar.
