Ravi Raja, the vice-president of Mumbai BJP and former BMC corporator, has asserted that the development-centric approach of the Mahayuti coalition will ensure its triumph in the upcoming civic polls. He claimed that the Congress's influence has waned, turning it into more of a regional political entity.

According to Raja, who joined the BJP in 2024 after decades in Congress, noteworthy developmental progress has been made under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, particularly in key areas like Coastal Road and metro rail projects. He dismissed concerns over potential alliances between opposing parties Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS.

Raja highlighted the redevelopment of Dharavi as a milestone under the current administration, attributing past neglect to Congress and its allies. Criticizing the Congress's declining political influence, Raja emphasized the BJP's inclusive growth model, crediting it with steady improvements in Mumbai's infrastructure and governance.
