The political climate in Maharashtra intensifies as Anup More, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), is embroiled in serious allegations. According to a police report filed in Pimpri-Chinchwad, More is accused by a female youth member of assaulting her alongside his supporters.
Reportedly, the confrontation occurred at Ashish Gawade's residence in Chinchwad on October 26, where More's supporters allegedly heckled and threatened the complainant, prompting her to flee the scene. Pursued to the police station, she claimed the verbal threats escalated to physical assault.
The police initially charged seven to eight individuals with offenses under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections related to causing hurt and outraging modesty. More's name was added later as investigations aim to clarify the event's true sequence, confirmed an official from the local police station.
