Election Commission Refutes RJD's Claims of EVM Tampering in Bihar Polls
The Election Commission has dismissed allegations by RJD leader Jagdanand Singh that EVMs in the Bihar polls came with pre-loaded votes. Labelled as 'technically impossible and procedurally false', the claims have not been supported by evidence, with no objections previously recorded by RJD polling agents.

The Election Commission has strongly refuted recent allegations made by senior RJD leader Jagdanand Singh regarding tampering in the Bihar assembly elections. Singh claimed that each EVM used had 25,000 votes pre-loaded before polling even began.
In a statement released Tuesday, the EC described Singh's assertions as 'technically impossible and procedurally false,' further stating that RJD agents themselves signed off on the electoral procedures that contradict these claims. The polling agency highlighted the use of VVPAT units and multiple layers of EVM randomisation as methods ensuring election integrity.
Despite RJD's poor electoral performance, winning only 25 of the 143 seats contested, the EC emphasized that no credible evidence of EVM tampering has been provided. The absence of formal objections from the RJD during critical procedural stages also casts doubt on the party's allegations.
