Trump Claims He Stopped Indo-Pak War
In a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, President Donald Trump reiterated his claim of having stopped a war between India and Pakistan. Despite consistent denials from India of third-party intervention, Trump has repeatedly stated he helped mediate peace between the two nations.
During a bilateral meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, U.S. President Donald Trump once again asserted that he averted a war between India and Pakistan. This meeting took place in the Oval Office of the White House.
"I've stopped actually eight wars…. Have another one to go with, Putin," Trump stated, expressing surprise at the prolonged dealings with Russia. Highlighting India and Pakistan's situation, he claimed credit for stopping a conflict, noting that many peace negotiations occurred in the Oval Office.
While Pakistan has praised Trump's efforts, India remains firm on its position, denying any third-party intervention. Trump's repeated claims began after he announced on social media in May a successful U.S.-mediated ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
