He called for dismantling divides based on economic status, gender, and race, emphasizing sustainability and future generations' needs.

Ramaphosa, addressing around 40 heads of state, including India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reaffirmed South Africa's commitment to championing the development needs of the Global South and Africa within the G20 framework. He stressed the importance of global stability for alleviating resource pressures and reducing conflict risks.

Advocating for the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Ramaphosa emphasized reforming international financial systems to be inclusive and effective. He underscored South Africa's priorities in disaster resilience, debt sustainability, a just energy transition, and harnessing critical minerals for growth and development.
