Tamil Nadu Minister S Regupathy has accused former AIADMK minister K A Sengottaiyan of operating as a 'sleeper cell' for the BJP. Regupathy believes Sengottaiyan was sent to infiltrate actor Vijay's newly formed Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
The allegations arise as Sengottaiyan, expelled from AIADMK by Edappadi K Palaniswami, joined TVK in the presence of its founder, Vijay. Regupathy suspects that BJP, with its remote maneuvering, is behind this strategic move.
Despite an invitation from the DMK to join its ranks, Sengottaiyan remained with TVK. Regupathy suggests this is further evidence of his role as a BJP 'sleeper cell', asserting plans to connect TVK with the BJP alliance.
