In a notable political shift, Shiv Sena has gained a significant boost with Fulchand Karad, a former Nationalist Congress Party (SP) state vice-president, switching sides. Karad lauded Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's leadership, dubbing him the most powerful leader in Maharashtra since the late BJP stalwart, Gopinath Munde.
Karad, previously with NCP (SP), expressed grievances over disrespect faced during his tenure, particularly during the Lok Sabha elections campaign for Beed MP Bajrang Sonwane. Karad alleged that post-victory, Sonwane failed to maintain any relationship with NCP (SP) members despite their efforts.
The leadership void felt in NCP (SP) prompted Karad to align with Shiv Sena. He announced his intent to fortify the party's presence statewide, rallying support for Shinde as a formidable and decisive leader for Maharashtra's political landscape.
