A New Dawn: Godwin Friday Ushers Change in St Vincent & The Grenadines

St Vincent and the Grenadines is on the verge of a historic transition, with Godwin Friday of the New Democratic Party poised to replace Ralph Gonsalves as Prime Minister.

After a remarkable 24-year tenure, Gonsalves, recognized for his vocal support of Venezuelan and Cuban political leaders, conceded victory to Friday, whose moderate conservative agenda appeals to many.

Having secured 14 out of 15 constituencies, Friday has pledged to rejuvenate the economy, increase wages, and boost security, all while eyeing enhanced global partnerships, notably with China.
