Maharashtra's Mahayuti Alliance: A Matter of Ideology

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde affirmed that the ruling Mahayuti alliance, rooted in ideological commitment, will persist. Shinde emphasized the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance's ideological connection to leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This comes amidst tension between the parties ahead of upcoming local body elections on December 2.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reiterated on Friday that the state's ruling Mahayuti alliance remains firmly grounded in ideology and promises continuity.

Shinde emphasized that the Shiv Sena-BJP partnership draws inspiration from notable leaders, including former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, senior BJP figure L K Advani, and Shiv Sena's founder Balasaheb Thackeray.

Shinde's statement comes as a response to Maharashtra BJP president Ravindra Chavan, who hinted at intentions to maintain the alliance amidst rising tensions ahead of local body polls on December 2.
